Prisrčno vabljene_ na gala dogodek Mesta žensk, ki bo v četrtek, 9. oktobra ob 17ih v Galeriji Škuc. ✨✨✨

🟣 Najprej nas bodo nekdanje programske vodje Mesta žensk, 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐊𝐧𝐚𝐮𝐩, 𝐃𝐮𝐧𝐣𝐚 𝐊𝐮𝐤𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐜, 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐣𝐚 𝐊𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐭, 𝐊𝐨𝐞𝐧 𝐕𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐞𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐣𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐛𝐚 popeljale_ po razstavi 𝑇𝑟𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑠𝑒𝑡+ 𝑙𝑒𝑡 𝑀𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑎 𝑧̌𝑒𝑛𝑠𝑘 ter osvetlile zgodovino ustvarjanja festivalskega programa, kako so sledile_ spremembam v feministični misli in umetnosti ter udejanjale_ feministično kuriranje.

🟣 Po vodstvu bo sledila 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐳̌𝐛𝐚 𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐟𝐚𝐤𝐭𝐨𝐯 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐤𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚 𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐚 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐳̌𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐤, ki jo bosta vodila 𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑒 in 𝑘𝑒𝑠̌ 𝑝𝑖𝑐̌𝑘𝑎 (Nataša Živković in Lana Zdravković). Z nakupom zabavnih in še vedno uporabnih predmetov, ki so bili pomembni gradniki predstav, razstav in ostalih festivalskih dogodkov, boste predmetom vdahnile_ nova življenja, s svojim finančnim prispevkom pa omogočile_, da naše društvo še naprej širi misel o pomembnosti žensk* in spolno nekonformnih oseb v kulturi.

🟣 First, the former program directors of the City of Women 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐊𝐧𝐚𝐮𝐩, 𝐃𝐮𝐧𝐣𝐚 𝐊𝐮𝐤𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐜, 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐣𝐚 𝐊𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐭, 𝐊𝐨𝐞𝐧 𝐕𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐞𝐥𝐞 and 𝐓𝐞𝐣𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐛𝐚 will guide us through the exhibition 𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑟𝑡𝑦+ 𝑌𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐶𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑜𝑓 𝑊𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑛 and enlight us how they shaped the festival program, how they responded to changes in feminist thought and art, and how they practiced feminist curating.

🟣 After the guided tour, 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐞 will follow, led by 𝑠𝑜𝑛𝑛𝑦 and 𝑘𝑒𝑠̌ 𝑝𝑖𝑐̌𝑘𝑎 (Nataša Živković and Lana Zdravković). By acquiring fun and still useful items that were important building blocks of performances, exhibitions, and other festival events, you will give these objects new lives, while your financial contribution will allow our association to keep spreading the message about the importance of women* and gender-nonconforming people in culture.

Through a feminist lens and radical embodiment, the performance resists the instrumentalization of the body. The dancing body is conditioned by external choreographic demands, losing autonomy and becoming a capitalist machine of reproduction, gratification, and constant improvement, progress. Force. Saliva. A burning structure. Desire. All the dance history already lived. Forms. Lines. Drive. More and better. Self-control. Who is watching me? How do I watch myself?
Dance becomes a space of liberation, corporeality a space of knowing, and movement an act of resistance. WHOSE EYES? questions not only the gaze but the possibility of re-embodiment

Cikel Extima drsi skozi preizpraševanje, kaj danes pomeni biti živo bitje v živem svetu. Sprašuje se, ali v generičnih projekcijah “boljše” prihodnosti, “boljšega” življenja, “boljšega” človeka, “boljše” družbe in v našem intimnem dojemanju življenja še obstaja prostor za živo bitje v živem svetu.

Življenjski prostor je osnovni fizični pogoj za življenje, ki ga z onesnaževanjem, ekstenzivnim rudarjenjem, urbanizacijo kmetijske zemlje, deforestacijo, kmetijsko industrijo monokultur itd. vse bolj uničujemo. Po drugi strani nam življenjski prostor vse bolj krčijo tudi podnebne spremembe, na planetu je vse več sušnih predelov, voda postaja tržno blago za kapitalske dobičke, ljudje migrirajo v življenjsko bolj znosne predele planeta in tako nastajajo megapolisi z ogromno zgostitvijo prebivalstva ter veliko socialno revščino… Z nebrzdanim razvojem si pospešeno uničujemo življenski prostor. Extima cycle explores what it means today to be a living being in a living world. It asks whether, in the generic projections of a “better” future, a “better” life, a “better” human, a “better” society—and in our intimate experience of life—there is still space for a living being in a living world.

Living space is a fundamental physical condition for life, which we are increasingly destroying through pollution, extensive mining, urbanization of agricultural land, deforestation, the industrialization of agriculture with monocultures, and so on. On the other hand, our living space is also being increasingly reduced by climate change—more and more areas on the planet are becoming arid, water is turning into a commodity for capitalist profit, people are migrating to parts of the planet that are more livable, and megapolises are forming with huge population densities and significant social poverty… With unchecked development, we are rapidly destroying our living space. Cikel Extima drsi skozi preizpraševanje, kaj danes pomeni biti živo bitje v živem svetu. Sprašuje se, ali v generičnih projekcijah “boljše” prihodnosti, “boljšega” življenja, “boljšega” človeka, “boljše” družbe in v našem intimnem dojemanju življenja še obstaja prostor za živo bitje v živem svetu.

Življenjski prostor je osnovni fizični pogoj za življenje, ki ga z onesnaževanjem, ekstenzivnim rudarjenjem, urbanizacijo kmetijske zemlje, deforestacijo, kmetijsko industrijo monokultur itd. vse bolj uničujemo. Po drugi strani nam življenjski prostor vse bolj krčijo tudi podnebne spremembe, na planetu je vse več sušnih predelov, voda postaja tržno blago za kapitalske dobičke, ljudje migrirajo v življenjsko bolj znosne predele planeta in tako nastajajo megapolisi z ogromno zgostitvijo prebivalstva ter veliko socialno revščino… Z nebrzdanim razvojem si pospešeno uničujemo življenski prostor. Extima cycle explores what it means today to be a living being in a living world. It asks whether, in the generic projections of a “better” future, a “better” life, a “better” human, a “better” society—and in our intimate experience of life—there is still space for a living being in a living world.

Living space is a fundamental physical condition for life, which we are increasingly destroying through pollution, extensive mining, urbanization of agricultural land, deforestation, the industrialization of agriculture with monocultures, and so on. On the other hand, our living space is also being increasingly reduced by climate change—more and more areas on the planet are becoming arid, water is turning into a commodity for capitalist profit, people are migrating to parts of the planet that are more livable, and megapolises are forming with huge population densities and significant social poverty… With unchecked development, we are rapidly destroying our living space.
