Z ognjem in mečem, če bo treba. Emancipiraš, feminiziraš, depatriarhaliziraš in izobražuješ ženske, lačne sodobnega performansa.
Koprodukcija: Slovensko mladinsko gledališče, Zavod Rizoma in Mesto žensk

You return to the countryside. You return to preach your gospel: art. With fire and sword, if necessary. You emancipate, feminise, depatriarchalize and educate women, hungry for contemporary performance. You include them in the artistic practice, build a community, confront the cluster of their principles and then … Then your community is shaken by an event that no artistic practice can digest. An event which makes you search for words, search for a way to face it. But it only exists as an erasure, death, non-existence. You get to work. You borrow a drone, hire a digger, grab a camera, pick up a shovel, prepare stakes, buy a climbing belt, create a puppet, prepare the terrain. You summon the women: allies, neighbours, relatives, high school students. You put on your trousers. You pick up your shovels. You stand in front of your houses. You lift up your slogans. You claim your positions. You wave your flags. This is what is in front of you. The decolonisation of the countryside.

The story of artificial intelligence development is a story of human curiosity and the desire to understand the human mind. From ancient myths about bronze giants to literary visions of robots, dreams of thinking machines have long stirred the imagination, but over the past few decades, the real revolution has been quietly unfolding in research groups.
Slovenia has played a surprisingly vital role in this process. Although it was not until a few years ago that the global breakthrough of user tools brought artificial intelligence to the forefront of public interest, the science behind it had been developing locally for 50 years, earning acclaim worldwide from Stanford to Tokyo. The real story of the most groundbreaking technology unfolds in hundreds of thousands of lines of code written over decades in the labs of the Jožef Stefan Institute, the Faculty of Computer and Information Science, and the development departments of pioneering companies.

Design Week v okviru prestolnice kulture GO! 2025.

Have you torn your trousers? Lost a button? A hole in your favourite skirt? Have your clothes repaired to bring them back to life! Bring clean clothes, two or three per person, that need minor repairs, and we will repair them for free!
Repair-a-thon is a recurring event that originated in Helsinki and has since spread throughout Europe. Its purpose is to raise awareness about ecology and excessive consumption and to encourage more responsible consumer behaviour.
The event is open to everyone and is free of charge. Visitors are asked to bring their clothes to be mended or repurposed. We will carry out repairs free of charge and to the best of our ability. At the request of visitors, we also offer quick sewing lessons.
𝐒𝐚𝐬̌𝐚 𝐍𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐜, born in Nova Gorica in 1986, graduated in Textile and Fashion Design from the University of Ljubljana in 2015, after completing a study exchange at the Winchester School of Art in the UK.
Today, her art moves between fascination with contemporary technology, the digitisation of (intangible) cultural heritage using 3D imaging, and the use of old repair techniques as carriers of memory. Her intermedia practice is best reflected in the performative work Repair-a-thon, in which she explores personal relationships between people and their possessions and the irresponsibility of modern capitalism. Through repairs, performative action, and conversations with visitors, Nemec attempts to transform the value of submitted garments from monetary to experiential. The work was presented at the Pixelache Festival (Suvilahti, Helsinki, Finland, 2017), at the Design Museum (Helsinki, Finland, 2017), as part of the exhibition 60% (Alkatraz Gallery, Ljubljana, 2019), at BIO|26 with the support of the Centre for Creativity (Ajdovščina Underpass, Ljubljana, 2020), and last year at GO! Design Week as part of the GO! 2025 European Capital of Culture.
As an intermedia artist, Nemec showcases her work both nationally and internationally.
