ZAREZE V REALNOST, ZAZNAVE IN SISTEME
Vsak pogled je zareza – v snov, misel ali sistem. Vsaka umetniška praksa v sebi nosi upor proti enoznačnosti in »gladkim« površinam sveta, saj vsak sistem, čeprav na videz trden, v sebi že vsebuje razpoko. Ta razstava je zemljevid teh razpok oz. nekakšen tihi arhiv občutij, prebliskov in zaznav, pri čemer so umetniška dela poskusi uvida in vmesnih dotikov: med notranjostjo in zunanjostjo, med telesom in okoljem, med naravo in njenimi posnetki, med algoritmom in utripom.
Razstava združuje raznolike umetniške prakse štipendistov, ki prek različnih medijev plakata, grafike, slik in instalacije z razmislekom o identiteti, prostoru in mediju vzpostavljajo raznolik, a vsebinsko skladen preplet sodobnih umetniških stremljenj in pripovedi. Kljub izraziti individualnosti pristopov se v delih pojavljajo skupne točke, in sicer vprašanje resničnosti, preobrazbe izkušnje v podobo ter preizpraševanje meja med naravnim in umetnim, notranjim in zunanjim, osebnim in kolektivnim. /…/

Na letošnji tradicionalni razstavi se predstavljajo mladi in perspektivni ustvarjalci, ki so se odzvali povabilu k sodelovanju:

𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐧𝐚 𝐨𝐛𝐜̌𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐋𝐣𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐣𝐚𝐧𝐚 (𝐌𝐎𝐋) od leta 1998 z javnim razpisom za dodelitev štipendij sistematično podpira nadarjene dijake in študente, ki izstopajo z nadpovprečnimi učnimi dosežki in uspehi na področjih znanosti, raziskovanja, razvoja, inovacij, športa in umetnosti. S svojimi rezultati tako dosegajo vidne uspehe na mestni, državni in mednarodni ravni.

INCISIONS INTO REALITIES, PERCEPTIONS, AND SYSTEMS
Incisions into realities, perceptions, and systems
Each gaze is an incision – into a substance, thought, or system. Every artistic practice carries within itself a resistance to uniformity and “smooth” surfaces of the world, as every system, solid as it may seem, already contains a fissure. The exhibition is a map of these fissures, or a silent archive of feelings, brainwaves, and perceptions, the artworks being attempts at insight and links allowing for connections between the internal and the external, between body and the environment, between nature and its imitations, between algorithm and pulse.
The exhibition brings together the diverse artistic practices of the featured scholarship holders, who have created a varied yet substantively coherent interplay of contemporary artistic aspirations and narratives, using the media of poster, print, painting, and installation to reflect on identity, space, and medium. Despite their markedly distinctive approaches, the works share some common features, raising the questions of reality and the transformation of experience into image, and questioning the boundaries between the natural and the artificial, the internal and the external, the personal and the collective.

Since its first open call for scholarships issued in 1998, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐣𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐣𝐚𝐧𝐚 has supported talented high school and university students who stand out for their abilities and creativity and have been recognised for their outstanding academic records and achievements at local, national or international level in their respective areas of interest across science, research, development, innovation, sport, and art.
