Razstava In tako zelo žive_, italijanske umetnice Silvie Bigi, združuje dela, ki raziskujejo presečišča spola, spomina, tehnologije in odpora.

V središču razstave so ženske, katerih glasovi in zgodbe so bili utišani zaradi institucionalnega, družbenega in intimnega nasilja. S pomočjo umetne inteligence, tehnologije deepfake, sinteze govora, performansa, tekstila, vonja in gibljive podobe Bigi ponovno aktivira potlačene pripovedi ter odsotnost spreminja v prostor mnogoterosti, povezovanja in novih oblik prisotnosti.

Druga dela sledijo marginalizaciji žensk skozi generacije ter ponovno obravnavajo zgodovino preganjanja, zdravilstva in ekološkega preživetja skozi prepletene zgodbe žensk, obtoženih čarovništva, in zdravilnih rastlin.

And So Very Alive, an exhibition by Italian artist Silvia Bigi, brings together works that explore the intersections of gender, memory, technology, and resistance.

At the heart of the exhibition are women whose voices and stories have been silenced through institutional, social, and intimate forms of violence. Through the use of artificial intelligence, deepfake technology, speech synthesis, performance, textiles, scent, and moving image, Bigi reactivates suppressed narratives, transforming absence into a space of multiplicity, connection, and new forms of presence.

Among the exhibition’s key works is a chatbot based on the writings of Italian art critic Francesca Alinovi, who was murdered in 1983, as well as a project dedicated to Irma—a forgotten family member whose life was concealed due to mental illness. Other works trace the marginalization of women across generations and revisit histories of persecution, healing practices, and ecological survival through intertwined stories of women accused of witchcraft and the medicinal plants associated with their knowledge.

Rather than merely representing violence, Silvia Bigi’s practice transforms bodies, technologies, and histories into spaces of transformation. And So Very Alive invites visitors to engage with alternative modes of presence, memory, and collective care, foregrounding voices that continue to resonate across time, media, and species.
