vabijo na razstavo: Ženske v promociji turizma Istre in Dalmacije v 19. in 20. stoletju: pogledi, podobe in vloge, ki bo na ogled v Beli dvorani Avditorija Portorož med 15. 4. 2026 in 15. 5. 2026.

Avtorja razstave sta raziskovalca dr. Jasenka Kranjčević (Institut za turizam Zagreb) in mag. Tomi Brezovec (UP FTŠ Turistica).

Podobe žensk so skozi zgodovino pomembno oblikovale privlačnost turističnih destinacij. Na plakatih, razglednicah in v turističnih vodnikih so predstavljale simbol gostoljubja, lepote, lokalne tradicije in dopustniških aktivnosti.

Čeprav so bile v promociji ves čas prisotne, je bila njihova vloga pogosto spregledana. Razstava »Ženske v promociji turizma Istre in Dalmacije v 19. in 20. stoletju: pogledi, podobe in vloge« osvetljuje vlogo žensk pri ustvarjanju turistične podobe jadranske obale.

Razstava predstavlja vizualno privlačno gradivo iz turističnih tiskovin Istre in Dalmacije od sredine 19. do skoraj konca 20. stoletja. Avtorja razstave sta raziskovalca dr. Jasenka Kranjčević (Institut za turizam Zagreb) in mag. Tomi Brezovec (Fakulteta za turistične študije Turistica Portorož).

Razstava, ki je od leta 2022 gostovala po Hrvaški, se letos v razširjeni obliki, ki vključuje tudi slovenski in italijanski del Istre, prvič predstavlja v Sloveniji.

The Faculty of Tourism Studies – Turistica, University of Primorska, the Portorož Tourist Association, and the Institute for Tourism Zagreb invite you to the exhibition: Women in Tourism Promotion of Istria and Dalmatia in the 19th and 20th Centuries: Views, Images, and Roles, which will be on display in the White Hall of the Avditorij Portorož from 15 April to 15 May 2026.

The authors of the exhibition are researchers dr. Jasenka Kranjčević (Institute for Tourism Zagreb)
and mag. Tomi Brezovec (Faculty of Tourism Studies – Turistica, University of Primorska).

Images of women have historically played an important role in shaping the attractiveness of tourist destinations. On posters, postcards and in travel guides, they symbolised hospitality, beauty, local traditions and holiday activities.

Although women were consistently present in tourism promotion, their role has often been overlooked. The exhibition “Women in Tourism Promotion of Istria and Dalmatia in the 19th and 20th Centuries: Views, Images, and Roles” highlights the role of women in creating the tourist image of the Adriatic coast.

The exhibition presents visually engaging material from tourism publications of Istria and Dalmatia dating from the mid-19th century to almost the end of the 20th century. The exhibition is authored by researchers dr. Jasenka Kranjčević (Institute for Tourism Zagreb) and mag. Tomi Brezovec (Faculty of Tourism Studies – Turistica, Portorož).

Since 2022, the exhibition has toured across Croatia. This year it will be presented in Slovenia for the first time in an expanded form, which also includes the Slovenian and Italian parts of Istria.

The exhibition will be on display in the White Hall (Avditorij Portorož, Senčna pot 8 A, 6320 Portorož) between 15 April and 15 May 2026.
