Odprtje Koroških kulturnih dni v Ljubljani z odprtjem razstave in s predstavitvijo knjige »Pregon koroških Slovencev 1942 / Die Verfolgung der Kärntner Slowen:innen 1942«.
Pozdrav gostitelja: ljubljanski podžupan Dejan Crnek.
Dneve bo odprl predsednik Slovenske akademije znanosti in
umetnosti prof.dr. Peter Štih.
Razstavo bo odprl veleposlanik Republike Avstrije v Ljubljani nj. eksc. dr. Konrad Bühler.
Vsebino razstave in zbornika bo predstavila mag. Brigitte Entner (Slovenski znanstveni inštitut v Celovcu).
Kulturni spored: Martin Sadounik – vokal in instrumental.

Leta 1945 je bila Evropa osvobojena nacionalsocialističnega režima – napočil je nov začetek za demokracijo in svobodo. V času nacizma storjeni zločini in s tem povezano trpljenje pa so bili kmalu pozabljeni. To velja še posebej za trpljenje, povzročeno slovenskemu prebivalstvu na Koroškem.
Pričujoča razstava pripoveduje zgodbo več kot 220 slovenskih družin na Koroškem, katerih člane so aprila 1942 v dveh dneh prisilno izgnali z njihovih domov. Internirali so jih v »starem rajhu« v posebna taborišča in jih razlastili brez odškodnine. Njihova vrnitev na domove je bila težavna. Šele zelo pozno jih je republika Avstrija priznala za žrtve nacionalsocializma v smislu zakona o socialnem skrbstvu za žrtve.

Opening of the Carinthian Cultural Days in Ljubljana with the opening of the exhibition and presentation of the book “Pregon koroških Slovencev 1942 / Die Verfolgung der Kärntner Slowen:innen 1942”
Welcome address by the host: Ljubljana Deputy Mayor Dejan Crnek.
The event will be opened by the President of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Prof. Dr. Peter Štih.
The exhibition will be opened by the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria in Ljubljana, H.E. Dr. Konrad Bühler.
The content of the exhibition and the collection will be presented by Mag. Brigitte Entner (Slovenian Scientific Institute in Klagenfurt).

In 1945, Europe was liberated from the Nazi regime – a new beginning for democracy and freedom dawned. However, the crimes committed during the Nazi era and the suffering associated with them were soon forgotten. This is especially true for the suffering inflicted on the Slovenian population in Carinthia.
This exhibition tells the story of more than 220 Slovenian families in Carinthia, whose members were forcibly expelled from their homes in two days in April 1942. They were interned in special camps in the “Old Reich” and dispossessed without compensation. Their return home was difficult. It was not until very late that the Republic of Austria recognized them as victims of National Socialism within the Victims Welfare Act.
