S pomočjo preproste koreografije, dostopne vsem generacijam in predznanjem, udeleženci odkrivajo nove načine sobivanja v skupnem prostoru, izkušajo moč kolektivnega delovanja ter ples spreminjajo v prostor srečevanja, premisleka in praznovanja.
✊ 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗸𝗼𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗸𝗼𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗸𝗮
Predstavlja sodelovalno politiko nasproti politiki prisile, izkušnjo nasproti dogmi, eksperiment nasproti receptu. Je hkrati ples in družbena gesta rajanja. Je flamenko.
💃 𝗞𝗼𝘁 𝘃 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗸𝘂
Njena kompleksnost odraža kompleksnost flamenka in kompleksnost politike same.

Cikel 𝗡𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗼 predstavlja umetnost na področju sodobnega flamenka. Oblikujejo ga interdisciplinarni umetniški dogodki, osnovani predvsem na živi povezavi glasbe in plesa, ter spremljevalni program izobraževalnih in teoretskih vsebin. Program gradi medkulturni lok med tujimi in domačimi ustvarjalci, ki vzpostavljajo dialog med umetniško prakso flamenka in drugimi glasbenimi žanri in predstavljajo nove ustvarjalne pristope h glasbeni, plesni in performativni umetnosti. Od svojega nastanka leta 2017 daje prostor najnovejšim umetniškim projektom, ki temeljijo na žanrski presečnosti in ponuja širok spekter sodobnih izraznih form. V njem se nizajo koncerti in plesne uprizoritve, v katerih tradicija vstopa v navdušujoča zavezništva z novitetami.

𝕋𝕙𝕖 ℙ𝕠𝕨𝕖𝕣 𝕠𝕗 ℙ𝕣𝕠𝕥𝕖𝕤𝕥 is a participatory project by dancer and choreographer Marco de Ana that transforms flamenco into a tool for collective expression. Drawing on flamenco’s rebellious and popular traditions, it invites audiences to explore the body, rhythm and movement as forms of social expression and ways of publicly taking a shared position.
Through a simple choreography accessible to people of all ages and levels of experience, participants discover new ways of inhabiting a shared space, experience the power of collective action, and transform dance into a space for encounter, reflection and celebration.
Accompanied by the music of David Rodríguez “Chupete” and texts by Pedro G. Romero, the project connects flamenco’s historical memory with questions facing contemporary society. It foregrounds art’s capacity to build community, encourage critical thinking and open up space for active civic participation. The workshop is therefore also a performance — and, more than a protest, a celebration of community.
✊𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀
𝕋𝕙𝕖 ℙ𝕠𝕨𝕖𝕣 𝕠𝕗 ℙ𝕣𝕠𝕥𝕖𝕤𝕥 brings the full complexity of the present moment into the space of dance. The world can no longer be neatly divided into good and bad, opponents and allies; social relations have become more intricate, while contradictions increasingly overlap and intertwine. The popular classes from which flamenco emerged often embrace conservative and identity-based positions, and their archaic roots can at times come close to the logic of exclusion, consumerism and ruthless competition. We seem to be governed by an almost Darwinian struggle to accumulate as much money as possible — in which, ultimately, who gets elected may be the least important question of all.
The project therefore does not ask whom we vote for, but how we move. It is not about voting, but about jumping: the leap, the striking of the foot against the ground, the deep plié, the heel and toe stamping, the standing fandango, the rhythm that reconnects us with our own bodies. It proposes a return to rhythm as a form of resistance to the rhythms of labour, digital algorithms and economic systems that increasingly determine the tempo of our lives.
𝕋𝕙𝕖 ℙ𝕠𝕨𝕖𝕣 𝕠𝕗 ℙ𝕣𝕠𝕥𝕖𝕤𝕥 is not an academy, but a neighbourhood. It is flamenco as a space of encounter and noise. It does not seek appeasement or reconciliation, but rather an expression of dissent — because dissent is one of the fundamental premises from which flamenco emerged.
Its power lies not in slogans, but in ways of moving; not in political catchphrases, but in how we collectively create a space for political action. It proposes a politics of participation in opposition to a politics of coercion, experience in opposition to dogma, experiment in opposition to prescription. It is at once a dance and a social gesture of celebration.
It is flamenco.
💃𝗔𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗼
𝕋𝕙𝕖 ℙ𝕠𝕨𝕖𝕣 𝕠𝕗 ℙ𝕣𝕠𝕥𝕖𝕤𝕥 To understand the project, it is important to recognise that flamenco is not merely a musical or dance genre, but an autonomous artistic world with its own poetics, symbols, mythology and ways of understanding the world. It is therefore essential to understand the point of departure and perspective from which 𝕋𝕙𝕖 ℙ𝕠𝕨𝕖𝕣 𝕠𝕗 ℙ𝕣𝕠𝕥𝕖𝕤𝕥 emerges, as well as its social context and the material conditions of its production.
As in flamenco: the body is at its centre.
Although every form of music and dance is performed through the body, the body carries a particular historical weight in flamenco. Flamenco developed among some of the most economically and socially marginalised communities, who often possessed little beyond their own voices, hands and bodies. The body consequently became flamenco’s most powerful expressive instrument.
Flamenco also approaches political protest differently. The proposition of 𝕋𝕙𝕖 ℙ𝕠𝕨𝕖𝕣 𝕠𝕗 ℙ𝕣𝕠𝕥𝕖𝕤𝕥 is simple, open and democratic: a few steps, a series of foot stamps and a short choreographic structure that allows us to experience and express everyday forms of resistance, workers’ demands and mass demonstrations in new ways.
The choreography is not a simplification of reality. Its complexity reflects the complexity of flamenco — and the complexity of politics itself.

𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗮, choreographer, dancer, pedagogue, and a long-time collaborator of the legendary Israel Galván and one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary flamenco, has developed a unique stage language through an ongoing dialogue between tradition, contemporary art, and performance.
—
𝗡𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗼 is a contemporary flamenco cycle dedicated to exploring this art form through interdisciplinary performance. Centred on the live interplay of music and dance, it also encompasses an accompanying programme of educational and theoretical events. The cycle builds intercultural bridges between international and local artists, fostering dialogue between flamenco practice and other musical genres, and presenting new creative approaches to music, dance, and performance. Since its inception in 2017, Noches de tablao has provided a stage for the most current projects that transcend genre boundaries and showcase a broad spectrum of contemporary forms of expression. Its programme unfolds through concerts and dance performances where tradition enters into inspiring alliances with innovation.
