To ni mogoče, pravi knjiga Nine Dragičević Nemogoče. Avtorica jih sreča mnogo, v več stoletjih, v mestih in vaseh.

We have been taught that J. Turnograjska was the “first” female composer in Slovenia, and then, it seems, there were almost none more until recently. This is impossible, says the book by Nina Dragičević, The Impossibles. The author meets many of them over several centuries, in cities and villages. Over time, their presence in public spaces becomes a problem; as if society wants to say they are impossible. In this hybrid work of poetry, the author transgresses the established literary forms and expands the concepts of musical composition with the help of feminist and queer theories, introduces an affirmative concept of experimentation, and shows the origins and effects of auditory poverty as a sui generis form of precarity. The life of a composer about whom we know nothing except that she wrote a piece about which we know nothing proves to be closely tied to the contemporary attitude of the authorities towards working artists experiencing economic precarity. This book, which is a book about historical figures, is a book about us now.
