Po skoraj tridesetih letih se je Verdijev Otello vrnil na oder SNG Opera Balet Maribor, tokrat z režijo priznanega švicarskega režiserja Guya Montavona. Ta prinaša svežo perspektivo na znano Shakespearjevo tragedijo, polno ljubezni, izdaje in ljubosumja. Glasbeno pa opero vodi italijanski dirigent Roberto Gianoli, ki skupaj z orkestrom oživlja Verdijev veličasten in virtuozni slog.

After nearly thirty years, Verdi’s Otello has returned to the stage of the Slovene National Theatre Opera and Ballet Maribor, this time under the direction of renowned Swiss director Guy Montavon. He brings a fresh perspective to the well-known Shakespearean tragedy, filled with love, betrayal, and jealousy. Musically, the opera is led by Italian conductor Roberto Gianoli, who, together with the orchestra, brings Verdi’s magnificent and virtuosic style to life.
