Osrednja tema razstave Friends with Benefits je prijateljstvo kot izhodišče za skupno umetniško prakso. Prav v bližnjih odnosih se pogosto vzpostavljajo oblike podpore in skrbi, ki lahko blažijo prekarne pogoje umetniškega dela. Sodelovanje med prijateljicami_ pri tem ni izjema, temveč razširjena praksa, ki presega meje umetniškega polja.
Skrb in podpora, ki izhajata iz že obstoječih odnosov, sta temelj umetniških praks predstavljenih kolektivov. BRAVO, DILEMA in ILY na razstavi fragmente preteklih projektov in dosedanjega delovanja sopostavljajo z razmisleki o izzivih in priložnostih skupnega dela.

The main theme of Friends with Benefits is friendship as a starting point for collaborative artistic practice. It is precisely within close relationships that forms of support and care are often established, which can alleviate the precarious conditions of working in the arts. Collaboration with friends is no exception here, but rather a widespread practice that extends beyond the boundaries of the art world.
The care and support stemming from existing relationships form the foundation for all three presented artistic practices. The collectives BRAVO, DILEMA and ILY in the exhibition juxtapose fragments of past projects and their work to date with reflections on the challenges and opportunities of collaborative work.
