FeKK 2026 – Ljubljana Short Film Festival

🔸 12. edicija festivala FeKK se bo odvila med 17. in 22. avgustom 2026 na Letnem kinu Slovenske kinoteke na Muzejski ploščadi Metelkova, v dvorani Slovenske kinoteke, v Kinodvoru in na drugih lokacijah širom Ljubljane.

🎞️ Predstavila bo vrhunce svetovne, evropske, regijske in domače kratkometražne produkcije ter v mesto pripeljala ustvarjalke_ce, kuratorke_je ter filmske goste z vseh vetrov. Ob tekmovalnih programih festival tudi letos prinaša delavnice, razstavo, glasbene dogodke, VR vsebine, posebne projekcije in številna srečanja, posvečena sodobni filmski kulturi.

🔮 Letošnja tema festivala, Lessons of Darkness / Nauki teme premišlja o lekcijah, ki jih najdemo tako v temi kinodvorane kot v iz dneva v dan temnejšemu svetu. Slogan izhaja tudi iz ekološke in protivojne apokaliptične filmske meditacije Wernerja Herzoga, ki se mu bomo letos poklonili z retrospektivo kratkih filmov. Poleg različnih tekmovalnih programov bo FeKK predstavil fokus na špansko avtorico Galo Hernández López, gostujoče programe znamenitega festivala kratkega filma Clermont-Ferrand, tematske kurirane programe različnih priznanih mednarodnih gostujočih kuratork_jev, arhivske programe, obširen strokovni program ter številne druge filmske in obfilmske dogodke.

🔸 The 12th edition of FeKK – Ljubljana Short Film Festival will take place at the Slovene Cinematheque, their summer open air cinema at the museum quarter, Kinodvor and other locations between the 17th and 22nd of August 2026 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

🎞️ In addition to its competitive programs, the festival will once again feature workshops, an exhibition, music events, VR films, special screenings, and numerous gatherings dedicated to contemporary short film culture.

🔮 This year’s festival theme, Lessons of Darkness, reflects on the lessons to be found both in darkness of the cinema and in a world that grows darker by the day. The slogan also draws from ecological and anti-war apocalyptic cinematic meditation of Werner Herzog, to whom we will pay tribute this year with a retrospective of his short films. In addition to various competition programs, FeKK will present a focus on the Spanish filmmaker Gala Hernández López, guest programs from the renowned Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, thematically curated programs by various acclaimed international guest curators, archival programs, an extensive industry program, and numerous other film and film-related events.
