31. festival Mesto žensk letos odpira svoja arhivska vrata!
Pogledale bomo na več kot 30-letno zgodovino festivala in društva, jo povezale z živimi spomini sodelujočih ter deli umetnic*, ki so soustvarjale naš prostor.
Naš arhiv ni le preteklost, temveč dediščina za prihodnost – dokument umetniških in kuratorskih strategij, ki razkrivajo, kako se spol prepleta z drugimi osebnimi in družbenimi okoliščinami.

Živimo v svetu vojn, kriz in retradicionalizacije, kjer so pravice žensk in spolnih manjšin spet pod udarom. Prav zato je arhiv Mesta žensk dejanje upora in prostor, kjer nastaja vizija feministične prihodnosti.
Festival zato odpiramo z geslom:
𝑨𝒓𝒉𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒂𝒎𝒐, 𝒐𝒑𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒋𝒂𝒎𝒐, 𝒗𝒛𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒋𝒂𝒎𝒐.

The 31st City of Women Festival is opening its archival doors this year!
We will revisit more than 30 years of the festival and the association, weaving them together with the living memories of participants and the works of artists who have co-created our space.
Our archive is not only the past, but a legacy for the future – a document of artistic and curatorial strategies that reveal how gender intersects with other personal and social circumstances.

We live in a world of wars, crises, and retraditionalization, where the rights of women and gender minorities are once again under attack. This is precisely why the City of Women archive stands as an act of resistance and a space where a feminist future takes shape.
We are opening the festival with the motto:
𝑨𝒓𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈, 𝑹𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈, 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈.
